Some keyboard capabilities, like screen-aware conversation reading and the keyboard tools panel, are Android only, since Android and iOS provide different keyboard APIs.

Android has screen-aware conversation reading for supported apps, plus clipboard history, resize, one-handed and floating keyboard tools. iOS provides the FlickReply keyboard extension, the same AI writing assistance, and a supported on-device chat-import (screenshot-to-text) feature. Some capabilities differ because Android and iOS provide different keyboard and platform APIs, not because one platform is a lesser version of the other.

Nothing is sent anywhere until you trigger an AI action, and what gets sent depends on which one and which platform. Tap polish and it is the message you wrote. On Android, ask for a reply suggestion and it is the conversation shown on screen, because that is what the suggestion is built from; on iOS, it is the text you provided. Ordinary typing never leaves the phone on either platform, typing content is never sold or used for advertising, and on Android, privacy mode disables the AI features and history capture for a session.
